Costly Mistake

Our fam of 4 has a trip to Beaver Creek planned President’s week. We plan to ski 3 days midweek. Hubs, myself and son have Epic passes. We got our 5th grader the Colorado pass that worked well last year at Steamboat. We just realized that pass isn’t good for Beaver Creek. Day passes for her at Beaver are $468.I’m planning to check with Epic to see if there’s anything we can do to get her a pass. If anyone has other suggestions, please share!

Let us know what happens. I've heard that Epic can be, shall we say, less than accommodating, so I'd love to hear their response.

Good luck!

If it makes you feel better I once booked a Sun Valley trip but forget to get plane tickets. I only realized I think a day or two before so you can imagine the last minute airfare price. I've actually blocked out how much they cost. I sure kicked myself at the time but you do sort of forget about it and just remember that the trip was good.

Update…called Epic, was given a number to call Beaver Creek, was transferred to Vail corp. They told me there’s not much they can do since they stopped selling passes 1/31 for Epic. I was told they’d send a note to management and they’ll get back to me within 48 hours about making an exception. Holding hope but not my breath on this one.

At least you got through and spoke with a real person at Epic! That's a miracle in itself. Good luck! We went to BC a year ago and it was great, such a good family mountain/resort.

Update-called Epic back on Monday. They confirmed we missed the 1/31 cutoff to purchase additional tickets and only option was to buy advance window tickets through the mountain. The woman I spoke with was very nice and looked up our passes to confirm our status. My impression is the company turns off the pass sales with 0 exceptions leaving employees with no power to help customers.
