Cat skiing, anyone?

The free cat skiing at Copper can be hit or miss. I've had a few really great runs on Tucker with fresh tracks and bottomless snow. But I've also had runs that were tracked out and not worth the wait or the hike. I think it just depends on how much snow Copper has gotten, how early in the day it is (i.e. how many people have already tracked out the runs), and how many people are in line in front of you. The Cats only hold about 12 people and they usually don't run more than 2 Cats at a time so sometimes the wait is really long.
I've signed up for a day of Cat skiing at Ski Cooper this season and I'm really EXCITED about it! :yahoo: It definitely wasn't cheap at $275. But it includes hot lunch, guides, and beacons. Plus in my opinion fresh tracks are always worth it!

Steamboat Powder Cats! We've skied with them twice, they are a great group - lots of fun!
