Oh wow, have been following this as well. So sad! I was wondering if he wouldn’t be found until spring with all of the new snow.. so at least they recovered him now to give the family closure.

Think it's about 6-7miles from backside of Northstar to Truckee.
Terrible tragedy. Think he tried to ski home as backside chairs were closed at that time and the entire backside would have been roped off. He may have known what he was doing but got lost in the whiteout. Guess we'll never know. Rode the Backside Express several times and many were skiers were talking about it. This was before he was found. Most thought he fell in a tree well as that was most likely with the huge dump in the Sierras in the past two weeks.

Very sad. Saw in the Reno Gazette Journal this morning, as well. Prayers for his family.

I also read people thought he fell in a tree well. It's actually the first time I heard of that. Terrible tragedy.

How heartbreaking. His poor sister. Sending prayers up for peace and healing for his family.
