Hello,

I have a few questions that I am hoping to receive some feedback on. I have been snowboarding for the last 8 years, and the last time I owned ski equipment was in 1993!!! This year I dedicated myself to relearning the ropes for the sake of backcountry touring, after growing tired of snowshoeing and hauling my board on my back! Not convinced of the split board tech, I returned to skiing. I ended up with some K2 anti pistes in 167 cm, mounted with frischti freerides. I love this set up, but live 5 min from an amazing ski resort blessed with tons of pow. The K2's rock, but I find them a bit difficult to control on the groomers. I am considering adding another set of skis to my quiver. I would like an alpine set up as well. I demo'd some volkl auras in 170 cm and found that they performed very similar to my k2's, but found them to be more versatile....ie. I don't always get to ski 5-10" pow days, and were waaay better on the groomers that I have to ski to find my stashes.
I am an aggressive rider, 5ft5", 115 lbs and am wondering what size of ski I should consider. The volkl aura is available in 163 and 170 and I wonder which size would be best, only trying the 170's. Secondly, I have no idea what bindings to consider, and find that alot of the manufacturer websites offer limited info pertaining to their design.
I would also be open to other ski suggestions as I am looking for a mid-fat all mountain ski that can handle the groomers when needed and float real sweet like in the pow. Just for some options.....

Thanks for your input!!
