As SnowHot suggested, I'm starting a new thread as I want to know all your favorite skis that you think have the most POP!

My Volkl 724 pros are the most exciting skis I have ever been on. They are stable, they are ho hum in deep stuff, but they annihilate crud like no other. When I get them in combination of icy steep slope with big steep faced bumps, they are just far enough above my head that I have to work at controlling them, but it's a very exhilerating feeling as well. I have never been on a ski that keeps me so honest and out of the backseat. They will punish you in a heart beat if you even think about sitting back, especially if you are in bumps. I have had such a great time on these skis, but they also kill my arthritic knee, so I am thinking of selling them. I got new skis for Christmas that I was planning on using in deep stuff and when my knee was sore, but I am finding that I am enjoying them more than I thought. I skied 6 days in a row without major pain, which by the end of last season, I could hardly arc my right ski by the end of the second day my knee hurt so bad..I kind of wish I hadn't started this post, because I was definately going to sell them before dredging up these memories. Shoot. I could put tele bindings on them, that would be tres exciting for me. Hmmmm. Probably not the best idea too stiff.

My Volkl Attiva S5s ('07 model) have a pretty good pop to them. Great for the groomed, keeps you focused. 'Cause if you get in the backseat...watch out! :fear:

All 3 of my main skis have plenty of "pop"--Salomon 1080's (brand new pair of the originals--due to their construction they are guaranteed to lose their "pop," but it's nice while it lasts), Volkl Attiva Fuego's, and Head Sweet Fat Thangs. Out of the 3, probably the Volkls have it the most.

My K2 One Luv's. The fir & spruce wood core gives plenty of pop! Luv it!!!

Volkl P60 SL or 6*

The other one I demoed that rocked it was the Nordica Olympia Speed. Wow.

If you are looking at skis who's manufacturer has a specific feel, you won't get more Pop out of a brand than volkl.

some say Volkl gives too much feedback, but I've always gotten huge grins from them.

Nordica is the most advanced these days in a combination of Performance, energy and stability.

Currently I'm ripping things up with the blizzard Titan Eos, which doesn't really have a ton of pop, but has a nice balance of energy, stability and strength.

K2's, though popular for having pop, IMO don't have much pop but instead they enfuse the energy into the performance. That must sound confusing, but Its almost like the ski's properties Use the energy for your benefit without giving it back to you, like the volkls.

OMG, how far back can we go here??? Maybe a new thread: favorite ski of all time? My first and still favorite poppers were my mid-to-late 1970's Rossignol Stratos - the skis which "taught me the dance."

Volkls have an awesome variety of skis. Some awesome in crud and some not so much.

I found the Fuego fabulous in ice and did just fine in cut up 5" - 10" of ungroomed new snow.

With my Fuegos the crud is hardly noticeable. Really cool. Glad you like them, VG!
