Seeing the word Amazon makes you think of books instead of river or rainforest.

23. You're a family of 3 with 5 PCs and 7 TVs in the house.
24. You're talking to your husband on your BlackBerry phone on the commuter train on the way home from work. You've got a lot on your mind, you're trying to arrange for him to do stuff because you're running late and suddenly, you stop in mid-sentence because you notice your BlackBerry isn't in the holster that's in our purse on your lap. You panic because you think you've lost it and once again, you stop in mid-sentence to tell him so. He says to you "hold your arm out and see if it's in your hand!". <-- (true story)

great thread!

when my mother (70) said that I didn't tell her about the contest that my son had won I said "but Mom, I sent you a text message!" LOL

I bet it's still unread on her (off) phone!

I'm still not in the groove of carrying it on or with me so's I can be reachable at all times.
I go through this little metal check when I "suit up" to bike/kayak/ski:

- wallet: What for? Oh yes, to buy lift ticket. OK, wallet in the pocket (no wallet for bike & kayak, only insurance card)
- key: well, I need it (but I take off the remote so I don't demage it by landing on it during a crash)
- cell phone: Is there coverage? No coverage, no phone. Little coverage, take the phone but turn it off (or it drains battery hunting for signals). Lots of coverage=pone in pocket and ON.
... (other stuff)

You CAN'T turn on the TV because there are 7 remotes and you can't figure out which one to use.

and

You're husband (well, someone's husband) can't plug in the vacuum but can hook up TIVO, cable, Xbox360, Wii, and DVD Karaoke on the TV set.

You're at mass and when you open the hymn book the first page says "Please turn off your cellphone"

...when you e-mail your roomie in the basement to see if she's ready to leave for dinner (or whatever...) :D

...when someone asks for your email address, and you have to think about which one (of the four or five you have) to give them.

cute one I just saw that seems to relate:

"Mom's Phone"

Because my mother had a habit of losing her cordless phone, I bought her a phone with a clip on it so she could attach it directly to her belt. A few days later, I walked into my mother's home and found her standing in the middle of the living room, halfway dressed. That didn't strike me as odd so much as the fact that she was holding her pants to the side of her head and speaking into them.
"Don't look at me that way," she yelled. "The phone started ringing and I couldn't figure out how to undo this stupid clip!"
