Would you ski indoors?

I know it's a weird question, but a group of former Disney and Universal Studios executives, designers, architects and engineers have teamed up to propose a new destination resort in Las Vegas featuring an indoor ski dome!

For me, one of the great things about skiing is being outside -- getting off the lift and enjoying the view from the top.

All the same, indoor skiing means skiing 365 days a year.

What do you think?

I would do it for a mid-summer fix. Better than not sliding at all to me!! Of course it would have to be close by and not to exspensive!

Every three years we go to Vegas for a huge trade show for our business. I HATE casinos with a passion, and always insist on a motel with a great pool to relax by and take up the sunshine.
A ski dome would be like heaven for me on those trips.
I'd know where to find my husband and he'd know where to find me!:D

The worlds largest indoor ski area is in Dubai.
You can check it out at www.skidubai.com.
It's pretty interesting, the only indoor black diamond run. If I lived in Dubai and had no snow i'd probably be there daily. I chuckle to think of what the slopes are like in there. All crowded with people who don't know how to ski, hardpack snow eeek. Almost like skiing in the east  ! (J/K)

I wonder if I'd be like skiing at Blue, with the snow cone slopes!
But That place looks really cool. Fun to try it once!

Heck yeah, I'd do it. Especially if it's the only game in town. Did you see the new one that Dubai is building? What a trip!

The project consists of a dome - a steel structure - that will include a huge revolving ski slope, going through and around an artificial mountain range - created to emphasize the "Arctic Experience" effect. Two huge real-ice columns will mark the entrance to the dome. Within the dome, there will be all kind of Arctic experiences, ranging from Penguinarium, winter aquaria, snow castle, ice-rink, Arctic animals statues, 4-season aquaria, snowfall, sound and light effects, cold and warm bath spa and other facilities, an ice-bridge, a cable-lift, snow maze, ice-slide, polar bears, are some of the features that will be integrated into the development and attractions. It will also have a deluxe hotel, a shopping mall, restaurants, coffee shops and other retail outlets.
