Worst ski outfits

Pants or the flame hat. I know the pants. One of my neighbours at Tremblant has last years Pucci suit from Rossi. Good thing she's small and thin. Reminds me of a 60's batik painting.

This was a guy wearing the pants. I did not notice the flame hat until I posted it.

Two of my worst ski outfits (seen in the same week, last week):

-orange hunting jacket, orange camo hunting hat with earflaps, orange camo hunting pants...skiing a wedge with poles tucked high in the air

-a guy (30-ish) wearing a fuzzy one-piece cow suit - white with brown spots, complete with tail, hood with fuzzy ears. Skis were painted to match.

What can I say...it's Pennsylvania.

This is the infamous Hawaiian Shower Curtain. $10 at the ski swap, what more could you ask for? It's the perfect Spring Fling outfit. Also, it's a great way to find out who your friends really are, whether they'll still ski with you:D.
My kids won't come anywhere near me. :yahoo:

Love it! Sometimes I think that ski wear has gotten too serious.

Here's my contribution. This is a parka I've had for about 15 years. I bring it out a few times a season to give people a laugh. Flowers and stars on the front, surfers on the sleeves, a girl in a grass skirt on the back - truly classic over the top Bogner!

How 'bout those colored troll hats in pink & green? You know, the bandana hats that have this horrible looking troll hair coming out of them!I was skiing Mt Ste Anne in Quebec city last week-end & some poor guy wearing this thing. I mean, they weren't even cool when they came out in 1985!

you can ski with me any time.

On a serious note - it's really easy to get so judgmental about what people wear. I do it too! But I try to remind my self that not everyone can afford the newest, coolest or appropriate ski wear. Or maybe they don't go very often, have something that while not "ski wear"
might just work fine; they have to borrow things, or perhaps they just don't care how they look. Hey, if it's working for them... who cares what any one thinks!!!

as for troll hats and other ridiculous things, I'm sure the whole reason to wear them is to be silly and annoy people. There's a great bumper sticker I saw once:
"The more annoyed you get, the more fun it is for me"

just my as usual unasked for two cents.

Unless he was 5 years old, not cool at all. I have friends heading to Ste. Anne this weekend. I think they got the rain today too.

You see a lot of "old gear" up at Tremblant. And I think its just as you say. My take is that they may have skied big time in the 80's-90's. Got married and now are getting the kids into it. Dad will just use his old gear, but outfit the kids with new. I guess in the long run, they are out enjoying the sport. Isn't that all that matters. (unless the gear is so old, its dangerous!)

Do you know what look breaks me up? Skinny young women wearing tight black everything, stretch pants with a fitting black jacket. 99% of the time they can't ski, snowplowing.. it looks like a bunch of sticks coming down the hill!!

Yes....but do you know how TOTALLY CUTE they look in the lodge sipping a Hot Toddy???!!!!! :cheer:

Seriously....we laugh...but why? I think I may be a little envious of their hot bods! :eyebrows: They can be envious of my skiing ability, though! :yahoo:
