World's Largest SnowWoman!

She's getting there! Bethel, ME, has embarked on a new venture: having already long captured the title of having built the world's largest snowman (100+ ft), they are now constructing the world's largest snow woman! Diva representation! She's currently at about 35-40 feet tall, not "in shape" yet. Stay tuned!
Okay, I just had a thought. She's going to NEED A NAME.
I HAVE THE PERFECT NAME FOR HER: SKI DIVA!!! (no offense intended to posting name of our fearless leader, but we'd be in the record books!!)
I think I'm going to send a letter to the town office, or even pay them a personal visit. HOW COOL would it be if the world record snow woman got named SKI DIVA!!!!???

It's really huge. It's going to be the height of an 8 story building when done, which is taller than anything man-made practically in the whole county!!

I am thinking the correct and obvious name for her should be " OLYMPIA SNOWE!" I mean come on!!! the man was angus after our govenor, let this lady me our senator!!! Just LOOK at her last name??!! pretty obvious to me!!! I had first thought about Mollycokett for the indian maiden this area is known for, but Olympia snowe makes much more sence!!! that's MY thoughts anyways...and sorry about your acl skidiva...my son has had many knee injuries to his knee from ice hocky..knee injuries are so painful..my thoughts and prayers go out to you!

The snow woman appears now to be at around 80 ft, someone sent me a recent pic. Not sure if Senator Snowe would appreciate having this gargantuan named after her, but this does make sense! I'd post the pic, but it's a small file and would be a teeny insert. Live cam available on the website. Great pr move by the town. Thanks for sympathies, waiting on return call from orthopedics. be careful with your injury! I am so sorry you got hurt.... am keeping you in my prayers..I saw the BIG woman yesterday it s suppsoed to be done friday? not sure they are gonna make it? im hoping!! I wont be there cause im having stomach surgery on friday in portland but I do enjoy the live web cam!!! doenst show how HUGE she is tho!!! my son is a college repulican and has seen olympia alot lately I shouldve had him ASK her ! hahahaha take care.... rest up!

It was announced on wblm but I ahve not heard what the name was:( PLEASSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEE if somoen has heard? can you post it? I guess I am kinda getting obsessed with her! A Google search revealed that her name is, in fact, Olympia, in honor of Maine Senator Olympia Snowe. I can understand how that would have gotten the most votes.
