Women's Edge Extreme Camp

I so much want to be a better skier than I am now and am not terribly patient, so I've been looking f0r a challenging camp that fits my needs--I think I've found it, the Women's Edge Extreme Camp @ Aspen with DiDi Lawrence. It's Jan 21 - 24, for level 8+ skiers, and reasonably priced. Didi just called me, responding to some e-mail questions I sent, and it sounds like this camp would be good for a lot of us! The camp is certainly challenging, but tailored to each person's individual needs, and offers low/no-pressure support, plus direct interaction with a terrific teacher, DiDi. I'm tentatively planning on going, but am wondering if anyone is interested in jointing me??? That sounds awesome, and is pretty reasonably priced. Do you know if they offer this every year? I'd love to go in general, but we already have to many things tentatively planned for this winter that this year is probably a long shot.

Oh my gosh , that is so cool. Same dates as ESA. We will have to declare a Diva day in Aspen/Snowmass when everyone gets their schedules squared away. I would think 2 Divas at the same location at the same time constitutes the beginnings of a Diva gathering !!

That looks like a great camp! I wish I could make it this season. I've got way too many trips scheduled at this point. Depending on when my adoption referral comes from Ethiopia I would love to go next year.

Wow! I have a friend who just came back home with two beautiful children from Ethiopia. The adoption process was a rollercoaster, good luck with yours and stick with it. I hope to meet the kids this weekend.

Thanks! Your friend's name isn't Lisa is it? The Ethiopian adoption group is a pretty small community within the USA (only about 700 children adopted by Americans last year). It would be so funny if we were talking about the same person!

Uhhh, was the question as to whether or not this camp was in Ethiopia? Nah, that wasn't it . . . . oh, yeah, I don't know if this is an annual event. DiDi also does weekend camps of the same type, apparently all season, but I don't know how long she's been doing it.

Oooh, the Extreme camp sounds like a lot of fun. Looks like it's smack in the middle of the week, though. I'm not sure how much vacation I'll have, since I recently started a new full-time job. Hmm.

Also, what do I do with the hubby for 4 days? He's not gonna let me go to Aspen without him!!

I just met DiDi the other day, who turned me on to this site. She mentioned her clinics and I think it sounds "rad". I will be looking into taking one of her clinics, depending on the dates. Hope to see you there.......Jenell

Mr. QQ doesn't think he's going to Aspen with me. Somehow one trip out West this year, Solitude, will be enough for him. Hopefully, Jenell, we can meet up, and Lori, he can do without you for a few hours each day!

Extreme Camp

Hello Divas one and all!!!! I am excited as to availability of this forum. My Extreme Clinic is an amazing experience for all that play with me. My goal is to give women the tools to grow within save boundaries,but to push the envelopes of experience. I find it a very empowering for all that join in. I plan on seeing this program continue to grow every year with more than just one week provided. It is a whole new universe of white space to play in and one that I love to be in. Yep, my red-blooded man would rather spend a week in the company of self-assured and dynamic women than play the testosterone game (if the Epic postings are any indicator). Plus, he thinks Ski Diva and the mister are pretty cool & wants to get to know them better. As for passing up Aspen, for some reason he thinks he needs to work--silly boy!
