Women Skiing Mag

Anyone else receive this skiing mag supplement? You only receive it if a females name is on the subscription.

I got mine on Sat. It's quite different than last year. None of the fluff of last year. Or maybe I've lowered my expectations.

There are reviews of skis and women's boots that are not 2nd thoughts after reviewing men's boots like in Skiings Gear Guide.

The women featured and articles are worth reading. It's not as large as the regular Skiing issue but doesn't contain as many ads or wothless pictures.

I found it to be geared more toward hard core skiers and not cutsey and insulting like last years magazine.

I get skiing, there's a clear woman's name on the subscription, but I haven't gotten it. Maybe because there's no "Ms." in front of my name?

I got mine yesterday with my skiing mag. It came in a plastic wrapper with both magazines in it, but I was tied up when I got home so I haven't looked at it yet.

Could be like our house where we get 2 issues, totally unsolicited. Somehow they got hubby's name and send him a subscription. Then out of the blue about a month ago, they decided to give me a "subscription"...which resulted in a few back issues (after we already received them through hubby's name), then we both got December's issue yesterday, and now I have a renewal notice.

Alas, I did not receive the women's issue. Doesn't surprise me, though.

I got mine yesterday and checked out the "women's" supplement. I was quite surprised to see that there were some interesting articles in there. Maybe they're starting to listen!

We've been getting skiing for the last few years without ever subscribing (my guess is that it's because we have passes to Stratton?) but, alas, no women's issue. Would have loved to see it.

Warren Miller?

First time here, but I think I might know why you got a "free" subscription. Did any of you go see a Warren Miller movie this year or last? You get a free subscription if you enter any drawings for free stuff. Just got mine, but no women's issue. Bummer

Yes, it is from the Warren Miller movie, hence our multiple copies. In fact we finally coordinated this year to see who in the family would check off the "please send/ do not send" box on the form used for the Warren Miller drawing.

It is so odd...I put the extra copy in the mail to Ski Diva. Two days later, it shows up - no cancellation of the stamps or anything. Hmm, maybe new help for the Christmas season?? Ok, back to the post office I went....

I finally did receive the women's issue. Nothing grabbed my eye as being really worth reading, tho.

Normally, if I get multiple copies of something arriving, I have them consolidate them into one subscription, extending the expiration date.
