Our Canadian women play their first game this afternoon at 3pm our time.

Is it 6 hours time change to east coast from Italy?

Major highlight is seeing what happens with Lindsey Vonne... I am hoping so much for her that she can at least participate safely since she seems set on pushing it if she can.

I am always most excited for ladies figure skating in the winter Olympics as well... and curling lol. Love watching all of the skiing, especially moguls. Really looking forward to it all kicking off.

I think it might be 7 hours…I work with a bunch of folks in the UK, and they’re 8 hours from Mountain time, and Europe is 9 hours. So factoring in the 2 hour difference between eastern and mountain times, that would make it 7 for you.

My SO is an ex competitive mogul skier, and said last week “I don’t know if i want to watch. I know a couple of people on the team and gosh, they’re a**holes.” I said to him, “Will you at least watch a couple rounds with me and explain to me exactly what they’re doing? Because all I see is “crazy jump”. Come on, armchair quarterback for me!” I might have convinced him…..

I am very much looking forward to the alpine skiing, mostly the women's. Lindsey...oh man. It's been so exciting to see her race this year, and I am so sad for her and all of us that aren't going to see her at her best. But what a feat that she is even racing.

I'll watch pretty much any Olympic sport, though.

That's a bummer to hear, I can see why that would be conflicting for him. Hopefully you'll get some entertaining commentary though. Now when I watch I'll be wondering which are the a**holes! lol

During Vancouver 2010, I lived north of Seattle. So, I bought tickets because being so close to the Olympics, I felt like I had to go - it was a once in a lifetime opportunity! The only tickets I could afford was curling. And I thought I was just going for the sake of the bucket list to get to say "I went to the Olympics." But it was SO MUCH FUN to watch curling in Canada! I had the time of my life. The energy of the audience was just electric and exciting and palpable. There was so much joy and fun. I had never seen curling, didn't know anything about curling (I did do a little bit of homework beforehand so I would know a bit about what I was watching), and I ended up having just the time of my life. It is still a core winter memory for me!

I imagine the strength she has built around her joints offer a lot more support to her knees than normal people. Haha

Hoping so much she can stay safe and also pull out a medal win tomorrow!
We plan on avoiding any and all headlines on our phones for the morning to avoid spoilers until after we see the race rebroadcast around 9ish. Dogs will have to wait for their walk, but it's gonna be cold anyways, so that's fine too.

I set my alarm for 5:30 am… we’ll see how that goes!
