Who's skiing over the holidays?

Oo me me me! We have visitors from the 22nd to the 2nd and will most probably be heading for Flims/Laax most days - possibly Hoch-Ybrig for half days (like Xmas Eve as we have our Xmas meal that eve). With luck and a following wind we'll manage 9 or 10 days over the break :D

I may ski on the 25th but will stay in Denver after that to avoid the crowds. I'll be back on the slopes again after the New Year.

We will be skiing both Okemo and Killington over the holidays. Killington because we are not blacked out on our pass. Wish Okemo gave multiple season passholders the option of a day over the holidats. Oh well

I will definitely be skiing over the holidays with Lil, of course. This is the first year (in at least 20 years) where I am taking the whole week off between Christmas and New Years. My last day of work will be December 23rd and then I won't have to go back to work until January 2nd.

So that means . . . . for nine days in a row . . I get to drive, ski, eat, ski, open presents, ski, watch movies, ski, play bored games, ski, sleeep, ski - well you get the picture. :D

Hopefully the weather in Vermont will cooperate with my skiing plans.

I'll be skiing at my "michigan hill" Crystal Mountain over the holidays. I wish I were going to be skiing with Lola, Lil and their family.
I'll post pics of ESA later so you can see the fun of the Gang!

I'll be up at Tremblant Boxing day. Staying till New Year's Day then its back to work. I only hope like most of us in the East that it gets cold or we get a dump!! Things were really bad up there today.

i'm so envious everyone has already been skiing! It just hasn't seemed worth it here in balmy PA so far this season. But I just can't wait any longer, so next weekend we will be hitting Blue and sliding down the ice.....

Grace, I hope that Blue will be a great day out for you! And you are right . . . The weather has been way too balmy. :(

If this weather keeps up, won't nobody east of the Rockies be skiin' for the holidays!

We'll be skiing both holidays, and I'll be out at Crystal after work all week. It looks like a bunch of Michigan people from the Nastar forum will be meeting on the 30th to ski together - I'm looking forward to that!

We are leaving the 24th to ski at Steamboat, back on Jan 1st. I normally wouldn't chose Christmas week, but with one in college it is the only week the kids all have off.

For those coming west

Local news (Denver) is talking about a major winter storm hitting Colorado this Tues. though Thurs. Details are still sketchy but it sounds like a good dump will hit most of the mtn ski areas, Denver and the eastern plains. Anyone driving through Kansas?

I'll keep you posted!

We always ski at our home mountain, Jay Peak, over the holidays.

My husband's kids spend Christmas Day with their mom, so we go off and spend the day skiing together. Christmas Day is relatively quiet, especially in the morning, so it makes for a nice tradition for my husband and I. It also means we get to see our "ski patrol family" on that day. We also ski on New Year's Day, another quiet day on the mountain. We'll be skiing at least one if not both days on the weekend between Christmas/New Year's Day as well.

Fortunately my season pass doesn't include the week between Christmas & New Years, so those days I go to work (since all my colleagues are on the crowded slopes) and clean my house. Just can't stand how much fun I have!

My season pass doesn't cover the week between Christmas & New Years, either. Plus I don't like to ski when it's crowded, so I'll sit it out this coming week. I'll ski after the first.

I we get the snow announced in the forecast, we might go once or twice (including the 31st). Hopefully, Ste-Anne or Le Massif will open more slopes before we go Jan. 2nd. Will keep my fingers crossed.

Capucine: I've heard that Massif is closed. Not enough snow. But that can change by the 2nd. Let's hope for all of us! Glad to hear that "ton Pere c'est bien".
