Who's buying their pass for next year?

I bought mine already -- you know how it goes, buy it by x date and save. So once again, I'm getting a mid-week season pass to Okemo (VT), good at Okemo, Stratton, and Mt. Sunapee. $295. (with tax); no weekends or holidays, which is fine with me.

Anyone else? Where to?

We had All for One Passes again this year (like almost everyone else). We're waiting to see what the offerings are with the sales of Mt Snow and Killington. We won't fork over $1000 to ski one area, that's for sure!

Ours never go on sale until late summer, and the discount period ends sometime in September, if I'm remembering right. So no new pass for me for quite a while.

The Season Pass deal at Crystal Mountain Mi is a bit higher than last year. $229, up from $199. Unlimited pass with no black out dates. We're still doing it because its cheap entertainment for the two of us.

I'm probably going to end up w/ a Killington pass again. But I'm waiting with bated breath for them to announce the prices. It won't be the sweet deal we got last season, I fear. :(

I haven't seen anything for Tremblant. I know last year they did try to sell passes in April, with the chance to win a trip to Whistler. The deal wasn't good enough as it was the same price as in the summer and first/best deal is till late July or August. With the ownership change this year, it will be interesting to see if the passes change any. (like lower!!)

None for us yet. We may be ski-nomads next year. We've had A41 the past 2 years, but with the dissolution of ASC that won't be anymore. We'd consider the threedompass (cranmore-loon-waterville) but with how much they've upped the price on that we've already decided against it. Waiting to see what Peak offers for MtSnow-Attitash. If it's under $500 for a reasonable number of blackout days (say xmas week, and presidents weekend) we might do it. Otherwise we'll just scam all the ski-n-stay specials for all they're worth next year.

$299 at Gunstock

For 2007/08 a 7-day full season pass with no blackout dates will be $299 at Gunstock. You need to buy it by the end of April and it appears that quantities are limited.

Personally, I enjoy Gunstock much more than Loon (crowded) and Waterville Valley (crowded and often icy). All 3 are terrible during school vacation weeks. Gunstock has a great view of Mt. Washington and Lake Winnipesaukee.

Yes, I'm going to renew my Vail, Breckenridge, A-Basin, Beaver Creek Ski Pass....

and also my Winter Park and Copper Mountain Ski Pass.

Rumor has it that Steamboat Springs is also offering a pass that will be competitive with the Vail Pass (including Many other ski areas as well!)

I'll keep you posted if I hear of other information on this!

I'm another one waiting on Killington/Mt. Snow pass prices for next year.

We were talking to a Killington insructor last weekend and his guess was that they'd offer something in the 400-500 range, then slowly increase the prices every year for a few years. We'll see. Killington is really the best option within a 4-5 hour drive from us, so we're going to wait a while and see what they offer.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind paying an extra few hundred if it thins out the crowds a little bit. The all-for-one bronze pass was just SO cheap... there really wasn't any other weekend-inclusive pass that came close in terms of value.

I also purchased the value pass which is good at Okemo, Stratton, and Sunapee. I bought the ski all 7 days pass, which has the holiday blackout dates. The pass was $687.94 which includes skiing for the rest of the spring season - it was $100 less w/o spring skiing. Now I am just hoping that the spring season is long enought for me to at least get 2 trips in! Headed to Okemo on Saturday.. AM snow in the forcast! :D

Yeah, the Okemo/Stratton/Sunapee pass is the other option we're considering for next year if the K pass ends up being ridiculous. We should get in a day at Okemo before the season's over and see how we like it.

My Husband was up at Okemo on Monday and he said he LOVED it! Something for everyone there. He is a 'crazy' skiier in my opinion - he loves nothing more then hitting jumps everywhere on the trail and challanging himself with rock cliffs in the middle of double blacks. Myself - I am much more careful about where I go. I can do just about anything if it is groomed and I am learning to do the moguls. I don't jump at all, really. And NEVER cliffs - until I am sure I will not break a leg . I didn't go with him but he thinks I would really like it there too.... said there is plenty to keep me busy and challenged (I get bored on some mountains easily). I guess I will find out on Saturday!

Ya know, especially now that I know Divas can be found on the slopes of Okemo, I think I'll go for that Okemo/Stratton/Sunapee pass--sure wouldn't take many days to pay for itself. I'm also waiting for Killington & Mt. Snow rates, but I fear the good deals are gone forever.:(

Without giving out too much info, the new pass for WP/Copper/boat will be released this week, but it's not going to be as great as people want it to be.

Interesting to see people ski so much!

I don't ski enough to justify a season pass. I also don't like to go to only one resort. I scout for deals on single-day or multi-day deals and I've never skied enough in a season that would have made a season pass worthwile. On a good snow year, it came close but not quite. On the poor snow year like this one, I did better by buying off Craig's list. Lots of people got comp tickets they want to get rid of. They'll take whatever they can.

Though I do understand why so many do, especially those of you who have invested in a condo or house near a resort.

I think I would feel obligated to go if I paid for a pass, which I don't want to do, especially when the season is short like this one. Not having a pass frees me to go away, far away where the snow is.

Yep, for the first time this year. We're going to get the Topcard which covers Flims/Laax, Lenzerheide and Davos/Kloseters, 200 CHF off if bought by end April, also covers 2007 summer season.

Have had an all41 pass for the past several years. Sadly that great deal is no more. I went with the Okemo-Sunapee-Stratton pass with blackouts. Its a bump in price over the all41, but it still only takes 11 days to break even. Worth it I hope.

Pass prices in the northeast have certainly risen, much to do with the demise of ASC, but also clearly impacted by fuel prices like everything else.

Hmmm, I thought I posted on this thread, but I guess not. Anyway, I purchased a mid-week pass for Stratton and Okemo in April for $279. I'll break even for sure and it's nice to have it paid in advance. It's my first pass other than the X-2 pass from Stratton which was a discount pass. It will be nice to have the option to go to Okemo to ski with other Divas and also because there's a freestyle coach at Okemo that I want to take lessons from.

Also, in May, my husband and I also bought full passes to our local hill (Berkshire East in Charlemont) where we go on weekends with the kids (it's small and never crowded and only a 40 minute drive from home). My pass was $379 and I bought a pass for my daughter who will be 14 this season for $319 and one for my daughter who turns 11 on Monday for $219. I'm sure we'll break even and that we'll do better than that because with the passes, we'll go much more often, even if we only have a few hours to ski/ride. The past winter, every time I wanted to go skiing and riding with my daughters, I needed $118 for 3 lift tickets, and this season I expect that total to rise to $120. I also bought some clear goggles to try night skiing, again, more enticing with the pass.

We bought our 4 packs today...realistically will only get up about 12-15 times this year, so we bought a 4 pack to Copper Mountain, 4 pack to Winter Park, and 4 pack to ABasin/Keyston. My son is in 6th grade so for $59 he can ski three times at all the Colorado ski resorts, so it makes sense for us to buy those rather than a pass at one location. We can find deals for our daughter who is 13! Bring on the snow!
