Who has retro equipment?

Well I am not sure if it counts but this week I skied with my hand knitted sweater from 15 years ago(very cold temps). I also have a one piece suit that I refuse to wear. My mom bought it for me on Ebay as I first started to ski. After lurking on the internet I told her I was too embarrassed to wear it. So she wears it instead when she comes!:D

I have my Bula US Ski Team Cow print baseball hat from 18 years ago. It's hanging on the hat rack at the door. It comes out on fun, sunny days. I have my bandannas that I collected from Deer Valley the first year it opened, and from Jackson Hole in 1978 and some other places in the early 80s. My favorite Grandoe gloves I've had since 1988 are still in use.

Sorry. My camera is in my locker at work, so I can take pictures at Sundance. My baseball hat is just that, but with the fake cow with spots material and a US Ski Team logo. I'd have to dive into my closet to pull out the bandannas...

well I don't. But I've seen a LOT of those one piece pantsuit type thingys from the 80's lately. I think you have to have thick skin to wear some of what I've seen LOL

I still have a neon pink Quicksilver one piece, circa 1990. I've posted a pic of it around here somewhere. It comes out for an airing every now and again.

SnowHot, those Rossis are really nice! Looks like early 70's vintage? DH had similar vintage ST650 (long gone). I will definitely get a pic asap of the 3 oldies around here: mid 80's Dynastar (what else ) Comp SL (formerly mine), early 90's Rossi 7SK (his), and a nice old hickory/bear trap binding pair given to us by a friend, complete with huge basket STEEL (HEAVY) poles.

No boots or older vintage clothing remains around here (unless we keep what we've currently got awhile!)

Here are my old beauties.

I also have my mother's old skis from the 50's or possibly early 60's (not sure how old).

I've posted these pics on another thread:

our old Head Standards with cable bindings and lace boots from the 60's and the upgrade to the Olins in the 70's............can't believe we skied in such primitive equipment.

Until this year I skied on neon green Volkl Jr. Race straight skis circa 1993 (MC Hammer design theme). Good times...

The skis on the right... K2 Launchers. They are only about 10 years old, so I'm not sure how retro that is, but compared to what everyone else is skiing powder on they are almost embarrassing! At the time they were just about the fattest you could get, but they are only 88mm waist. I have not used them in years (not much use for them in VT), but I loved them years ago at Whistler. They will have to hold me over until I can afford modern powder skis!

My dad has a pair of those Head Standards in his garage ... I have some Olin Mark IVs around somewhere ... and I have my mom's old leather boots downstairs ... no time to take photos, but I will later. My mom skied in those boots until the last possible year. I still remember her in them. Finally they wouldn't fit in indemnified bindings.
