Whistler, 1/16 - 1/19

So I was at Whistler over MLK weekend. It was super warm (in the 40's!) and a lot was closed, but we got 4 amazing bluebird days and I really can't complain about spending them in the mountains.

I'm just going to point you to the pictures for most of it:

- The Peak 2 Peak gondola: pretty awesome. That thing is HIGH, and I thought the ride was going to freak me out, but the cars are great and the ride is super smooth. I was really impressed. Also the ride is the perfect length to eat the sandwich you have in your backpack.
- Whistler Village: nuts. I'm too old for late-night bar hopping / clubbing on ski trips.
- Canadian cell service on your American phone: two thumbs up!

Overall it was a really fun weekend and I'm looking forward to going back during a better snow year and trying some of the harder stuff.

Meh, you could get an edge it in, but it wasn't great. Bumpy and just just starting to get skied off.

I figured as much. Man, I miss Whistler. Been there twice, and it was a couple of years ago. Gorgeous pictures! That Peak2Peak looks just as ridiculous as I thought. =P
