Which skis would you recommend for me?!

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to buy some skis this season and could really do with some help!

I'm an intermediate and prefer blues and fun greens. I go on the odd red now and then but rarely any blacks.
I like to play in the off piste when it doesn't look too scary!

I'm tall (6ft!) and quite curvy...100kg!

I want a ski that will help me perfect my carving and so will be good at initiating turns. I also want something forgiving and stable.

Please help me!
:help:

Do you think you'll be looking for a unisex ski or a women specific ski?

Also, it may help if we know what you've rented/owned thus far.

Off hand, I'd say you want a ski that is advanced enough to take you to your next level without being so advanced that you have to stay on top of it all day.

One that comes to mind is the Elan Spice Magic.

Thanks for the advice on the Elan. I'd like women specific ski as they need a little less muscle. but would happily consider a mans ski. I've only rented so far but unfortunately can't remember whih skis I've used...

Polly, do you think you'll get a chance to demo or buy sight unseen?

If you think you'll demo, I'll post a short list of demo options for you later tonight. I have an idea though that you won't have much of a chance to demo.

Will you be skiing frequently or just a few short trips a year?

Sorry I got sidetracked.

A few skis you should consider are:
Volkl Tierra, 118-76-104, which is a bit advanced but is likely going to be forgiving enough to help you achieve your potential. I really like the Pop, you get out of a volkl.

Elan Wave Magic, 116-70-105, which I misspoke about in an earlier post.
The Wave technology is something I fell in love with in the Wave spice. You'll find this ski to be a bit burly, yet it will be stable and cruisey.

Blizzard Passion 7 QI, 122-72-105, for female skiers in the intermediate all-round segment. Featured with the fully integrated IQ System and its 72mm platform under foot, the Passion 7 is a reliable partner on all slopes.
