Which skis for a lighter skiier?

Hi Everyone....this is my first post. I am looking at getting new skis this year. I'm from BC and usually ski in the interior at Sun Peaks or sometimes at Whistler. I ski most things on the mountain, including the occasionnal double black. I usually spend some of my day on ungroomed runs and a part of my day on groomers. I'm 5"2 and weigh 110. I'm looking at a few options for skis. I'd love to get the Volkl Attiva AC3's, but I'm afraid they may be too stiff. I'm wondering if the Volkl AC2's would be better for me. I'm also looking at the Stocki Spirit Ed. VII. The K2 Lotta Luv or One Luv are also possibilities. Let me know what you think!
Thanks.

I am 5' 2" and about 106 lbs. I bought new skis last year - Dynastar Exclusive Legends - 152 cm. I used them at Winter Park last year. They were great on the trails, in the trees and in the bumps. I don't ski double blacks, mostly groomed blacks and off piste sometimes - no black bumps. I also thought about the Volkl AC2. I am very happy with my choice.

If at all possible, Demo! Just devote 1 day to trying out different skis and different lengths. Skis are a very personal thing....what works for others may not work for you.

FWIW (even though I outweigh you by A Lot!);
Hubby kept telling me to get the Volkl 6 Star, but I always thought it was too much ski for me so I went with the 5 Star.

Then I got a chance to try the 6 Star.....WOW!! :eek:
The 5 Stars got retired and sold as soon as I could find a pair of 6 Stars to buy.

I have to agree with Kris' experience.
The skis are such a personal preference, you would benefit from demoing.
Although, the AC2 is a great ski. You would likely love it!

I've got to say, the Völkls I've tried I've always found to be too stiff for me. Granted I'm not mega aggressive but I'm quite a bit taller and heavier than you so unless you're really aggressive, I would look around at other makes. But then, having said that, I've not tried a ladies' Völkl so maybe they're softer. Personally I like the progressive stiffness that Head seem to have achieved - they resist when you need them too but let you cruise if you want too

I've skied on several volkls. There is definitely a stiffness in many of them but they also have several on the softer side. I find the Energy line to be quite soft. The gamma/attiva skis I've tried were also significantly softer than their unisex counterpart.

OTOH, I ski on the Metron B5 and love it. Now that's a stiff ski!
