What's your helmet? Do you love it?

When I last went helmet shopping, my prerequisites were: MIPS or equivalent, comfortable fit, plenty of adjustable, and easily changed venting, lightweight, small visor/lip (it keeps wet snow and rain out of my goggles), the tightening dial at the back, and the magnetic clasp I'd loved in my previous Anon helmet that allowed my to fasten the chinstrap with one hand. And not black. I ended up with Smith Vantage (in terracotta!), which ticked all the boxes except the magnetic chinstrap, but I actually haven't missed it as much as I feared.
I used to think I wanted a visor on my helmet too, until I had one. I found it to be a pain when I wanted to lift my goggles up and onto the helmet -- I had to stretch the strap each time, and had to keep adjusting the helmet strap as it got stretched out.

Yes, it's really more of a lip that directs water out of harm's way, I think. A proper visor would be a pain, for the reasons you mention.

Nope, mine had a lip, a very small visor, and it still was a pain. Actually, if you enlarge my forum picture you can see it on that helmet. Luckily, I eventually discovered it was removable.

Hi all, longtime lurker here. Ski season is almost upon us, and I need your help

In pretty desperate need of a new helmet. Current helmet is an ill-fitting hand-me-down from a sister. Open to any and all recs from this community.

Note: I'm used to picking stuff up at local secondhand stores, but don't live near mountains at the moment... was living in CO, but moving to SLC in early 2025. Would love to meet and ski with any ladies in the area.

Thanks in advance!
I like the Smith Vantage with the Brim. The brim shades your forehead and covers your goggles when its snowing.

Another Smith Vantage wearer here - this one did require me to get new goggles because it came so much farther down my forehead than my old Giro. I chose the Vantage over other Smith offerings because it had the most vents of any that fit me well and I run super hot if I'm skiing trees.

In case anyone was curious about the difference in Men and Womens helmets from Smith - it's just different colors and fuzzy earpieces for the Womens versions when they make both

I have a Smith helmet. I really like it, will get this brand again. My goggles are Smith & Scott (or Oakley?), they fit fine.

I have a Smith Vantage and a Smith Liberty. They are both fine. The Vantage runs a little smaller, which is the reason I bought it. I thought my Liberty was a tad big but discovered I can't go down a size. I still alternate both though.
