Question: Weekly Ski Groups at Whistler Blackcomb

Do you know of any groups that meet up to ski WB on a regular basis/weekly? Ideally, it would be a women's group but that isn't a deal breaker.
I'm planning on being in Whistler for the majority of the 2025-2026 season. It will be my first time skiing WB and I would love to meet new people and explore what the mountain has to offer. I have a flexible schedule so I can make weekdays or weekends work.

Have you checked with Pique magazine? There might be something in there. Also do they have a local FB page. I know Tremblant has one here in the east.

Thanks for the heads up re Pique magazine. I'm such a newbie to the WB scene that I want aware it existed I didn't see anything in their archives that indicated a group similar to what I'm looking for but I'll keep checking as we get closer to ski season. Thanks!

I don't, but when I was researching women's ski camps, I saw that WB has a bunch and very reasonably priced. It could be a good way to meet ski buddies and explore the mountain: https://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/plan-your-trip/ski-and-ride-lessons/womens-camps.aspx

Getting to ski at Whistler was what made me really fall for the sport. Amazing you'll be there all season!
Thanks for passing that info along! I noticed those clinics when I was looking around for ski groups. I've never done a camp like that and it seems like something I would enjoy and a good way to meet people. Thanks!

Club Linc is what you want. They still have space for Fridays this year. Everyone raves about it. Ski with the same group all season, priority lift line access, skill development. I was supposed to finally do it this year but kids schedules once again got in the way…

That sounds great! I hadn't found that option when I was looking around the Whistler site, only the 2 day women's clinics. Thanks for passing the info along!

Oh the website is a mess. There’s some good locals options that are buried on the site - look under Adult Lesson Pass Program. There’s a 15-pack of group lessons for $2350 if you need something more flexible than Club Linc, which I think is very fairly priced. But you could always just join the mountain orientation tours as a way to have someone to ski with in the morning & you’d at least meet the folks volunteering with the mountain.

You have probably been in town long enough to know aboue the Whistler Peak app, right? Better UX for checking weather & terrain opening than Vail’s app/website. Check out the Whistler subreddit r/Whistler and there’s a FB group that is very active: https://www.facebook.com/groups/whistlerblackcombskiersandsnowboarders

Btw, if you haven’t done this already and/or don’t plan to ski other mountains this season, it’s worth changing from an Epic Pass to WB Unlimited when you’re actually local…there are a few more retail discounts and most importantly you can get a $500 giftcard for $400 that you can use on the mountain but also at any Vail-affiliated retail (Canski, North Face, Helly Hansen etc). This is sold up till the end of January.

I’m away Dec & Jan but happy to try to meet up in Feb or March.

Thanks so much for this info. It is all really helpful for this first timer to Whistler! I really appreciate you taking the time to share it with me.

We just got to town this past week and have started to get acquainted with the mountain. Thankfully, temps have dropped in the last few days and the precipitation has switched from rain to snow.

I didn't know mountain orientations even took place nor was I aware of the Whistler Peak app. I've just downloaded it. The epic app definitely leaves a lot to be desired.

I'll reach back out near the end of January/early February to meet up to ski once you've returned to town. In the meantime, enjoy the holidays season and all the fun that comes with winter.
