Weekend on Skye

About 12 C at around 500 m above sea level. But wet and windy which made it feel colder.

So pretty. When we were in Scotland we were supposed to get a day on Skye, but weather dictated otherwise and we ended up basically driving on and then off again.

Haha, yes, Skye is beautiful but the weather can be awful. The prevailing weather is from the west so the mountains are the first thing the air coming over the Atlantic hits - consequently it rains a lot. I was out hiking for the best part of 2 days and these photos were all taken in a 10 min window - the rest of the time I could barely see 10 m!

The quiraing is cool. I do love Skye. Always fun in good weather rather than horizontal rain lol.

Yeah, the forecast was for good weather on Saturday and low cloud/rain on Sunday - unfortunately the bad weather came a bit earlier than predicted. C'est la vie!

It was spectacular over here (north east) on Sunday. Always the west coast that gets the worst.
