Weather Whine Thread

I really have been trying to post a photo of what the trails look like without help from the snowmakers and groomers. Files too large . Really impressive. Any suggestions?

I can barely post pictures now unless I compress them on a separate website first, which is usually too many steps for me to bother.. Have not even tried a video because of this. Hopefully someone else will have a good suggestion!

The forum accepts attachments that are 2,048 KB, if that helps.

I skied Okemo today, and it was actually pretty good. Sure, they took a major hit, and yesterday was HORRIBLE. But today was much better. I guess the groomers got out and moved the snow around; it hasn't been cold enough to blow snow, so that wasn't it. Cold temps are moving in for Friday, and snow is in the forecast,so hopefully, things will get better.

Well I gotta join in the whine too although for opposite reasons; sorry.
We’re getting positively nuked w/snow in PNW all the way down to the lowlands of Seattle, which of course makes everyone here lose their minds.

We can’t even get to our ski area as the Pass has been closed since Sunday with no sign of reopening soon:

I’m grateful hubs wasn’t working Sunday and didn’t get stuck in this:

Treacherous icy driving. Oldest DD skidded into a pole and banged up her car this am. She’s fine; car less fine.

So may not even get to ski this week~ too much snow!!

Pass finally opened late today after mult days shut down, just in time for big weekend. Now trying to convince hubs to ski tomorrow. Friday is our day off/ski day but he’s missed the last 4 days of work up there. But what’s another day really, right?:becky:

Wee - Managed to convince DH to go skiing already in 2 weeks. I was a bit worried of the weather as it has been thawing for a while (they have man-made snow, but that can only last for so long in thaw and risk of rain) - but see what happens up 'till our departure day (fyi - 0C degrees is 32F, -3C is 26.5F, etc.):

Yup, I feel for you.....

I have family in Iceland and their biggest alpine resort is closed due to too much snow.......

The lifts are buried in snow - the buildings as well and there is an avalanche warning for the area.
I still can't help feeling a bit jealous, though...... Just a bit of thaw and that snow will be at a skiable level :ski:

Honestly I really don’t like whining but the extremes of the weather in PNW are making me crazy! Went from too much snow to another Pineapple Express with rapidly rising snow levels and ugh rain in the mountains just in time for my day off skiing grrrrrrr

It is end of January... This is supposed to be a snow storm we'd be digging out of, not a torrential downpour :( (I'm in Northeast NJ)

Rain, rain, and more rain here in Eastern PA. Should dry out tomorrow so we're headed up to Montage for the day.
