I received an email about the Wachusett Nordica women's demo day on January 28th, free to those who attended the Wine, Cheese, Chicks, and Skis event earlier this season but also only open to 30 participants. Anyone planning to attend? I am somewhat interested, but unsure if I will be able to get away since it's a weekday morning start. I am very interested in trying the Nordica Multipista if it is there, which is part of the reason I am wanting to attend.

I also wanted to mention another "cool" event at Wachusett that I saw pop up on LinkedIn through BioXchange yesterday, that I also may attend in February.

Not sure if anyone else local is in the Life Sciences, but this definitely sounds like my kind of networking event.

I saw that too. I just looked at my calendar finally. I had assumed I wasn't available that day, but it turns out I am. Since it is only for 30 I wonder if they still have any spots left.

I got an invite also but Nordica skis are too light for me. I would also have been interested in the Multipista but I just picked up the Phoenix R13Ti which I think is similar to the Multipista. I think the email said there would be other demo days w/ other brands later on.

The bench to summit sounds fun - nerds on skis - which I can say because I spent many years as a bench chemist and a field chemist :becky: - I am a nerd on skis

You would still have to buy a ticket though. Another option if you want to try the Multipista is head north a day early before Diva East. The Ski Monster is doing a women's Nordica demo day at Ragged on January 30.

Probably won't sign up. When I went to the Nordica demo at Wawa 2 years ago, there were only women specific skis to demo and I really wanted to demo their unisex skiis. Don't know if they have changed this.

What do people do with their stuff (Transpacks for example) at Wachusett while skiing? Are the lockers big enough for a Transpack? Is it safe to leave your stuff unattended?

There are cubbies all around the lodge, as well as sturdy pegs up along the top of the wall for hanging bags. It's perfectly safe to leave stuff, but there are also paid lockers.
