I've heard good things. And all this quiver talk has me crazy. :blah: Who has them? Good all mountain ski? How do they hold up on ice? Deepies? Anyone want to sell me theirs?!?! :eyebrows:

I have them :becky:

Thanks to a good tip about a killer deal from the Divas, of course!

You should still be able to get them for under $300. I think there are a few pairs floating around locally for that price. Anyway, I have the 164 and I love them. Absolutely love them. They are a little big soft for gripping on ice, but I try not to ski ice anyway. They are surprisingly nimble on hardpack (and that is something, coming from me, I like to make a LOT of turns) but of course in the powder they really shine. I have a review up on my web site (in my post signature), if you are interested. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, though, if you find a good deal. They're just awesome and I love the understated graphics.

I have them, too. Picked them up really cheap at the end of last season (I paid $250.), and I'd agree with alaski's assessment. I'm not a big fan of the graphics, though. They're a little blah for me.

Hmmm. There is a pair on Ebay for.... $600. Not cool?

Hmmm. I'm in a debate between saving money for Auras, and just getting Queens. If I can find some for like $200, I'll spring for them, but we'll see.

Love my Queens as well. I agree with the assessment of their performance on ice (not 100%, but not terrible either). They were my ski of choice when I went to UT in March, and they served me well. They're lots of fun to ski on--mine like to go fast, and while they've got a longer turning radius than I'm used to, I can make 'em turn shorter without much trouble. Great in crud, great in powder, great on groomers.

I have the unisex version - the Karma. Here in the midwest, that's plenty 98% of the time. Where you are, I'd think that the extra width of the Aura would make it more versatile for you.

JMHO as the owner of both......hold out for the Aura! It does everything the Karma does but it's lighter and wider, so it floats waaaay better.
