Volkl Attiva Aires - any thoughts?

Anyone have any thoughts on the new Volkl Attiva Aires? I have heard they are the same ski as last year’s Volkl Attiva Super Sport S4 with just a different name but I have not been able to find a review about them yet. I was looking to buy a pair of last year’s S4s but I cant find any in my size anymore (161) plus I don’t really like last year’s graphics. (this after a long debate whether or not to go for the S4 or S5s)

I’m a high intermediate-to-low-advanced skier who is looking to fine tune her technique. I’ve been skiing for 14 years but have never bought a pair of Volkls. I’m 5’8’’ and about 150 lbs. I’m used to skiing on longer skis and it’s been recommended to me to get 161s which I’m afraid will be short for me and hard to get used to so I may bump that up.

I haven't tried this year's Attiva's, but I'm about your size and ability and definitely agree that a 161 would be too short. I used to ski 157's, but last season I demo'ed and bought skis all in the 165-171 range and have had no issues with the length.

I think people tend to recommend skis that are too short, for women in particular.

I wish I could be of more help. I haven't had the pleasure of skiing on any of the 08 Volkls. Wish I had.

I agree with rachel, though.
Don't sell yourself short on ski length.
