Viewed and unviewed threads

There seems to be an issue with showing which threads I've viewed. Sometimes threads that I haven't opened yet will not be highlighted (as though I've viewed them already) and sometimes threads I've seen the most recent posts in will stay highlighted as though they contain new posts.

Dunno if it's happening to anyone else, but I figured I'd mention it.

Make sure when you get out of a thread and forum that you don't use your back button. You have to click each part of the forum link breakdown to show that you viewed the thread...ie for this one, click the Site Feedback link, wait for it to refresh, then The SkiDiva.com link....etc. It took me a while to figure it out too. :o

Thanks, SkiDiva. Now everything seems to be reset (every thread ever shows as having unread posts). I'll let you know if it starts up again after I poke around.

Everything in some fora (forums?) is now popping up as unread for me, even after I read it, log out, and log back in again. :(

That's odd. It should be the same in all of them. (I guess you noticed that everything re-set to unread.)

Anyone else having this problem?

I did this morning. I went through and marked everything read, and now it seems to be fine.

Ski Diva, it's acting up again. Suddenly every thread in every subforum is marked as viewed when there should be a whole bunch of threads I haven't seen.

Not a big deal but I thought I'd let you know.

Did you by some chance inadvertently click on Mark Forums Read? It's in two places: in the "Quick Links" drop down menu, and under "Forum Tools." That would do it.

Since I'm using a laptop with tap enabled, that's probably the culprit this time :o
