Question: un-groomed blues and groomed black

I didn't realize that post was so old! Oops! I was searching for an article I had read comparing terrain at different Utah resorts.
Not a problem. There is good info in a lot of old threads that went dormant.

We moved to Utah this year.
For skiing at Alta and Snowbird where I have a fair amount of experience in the last dozen years, I'd say there are times when ungroomed blues are easier than groomed blacks, at least in the afternoons. Regulator Johnson at Snowbird is a steep groomed black. By the afternoon it can be pretty slick. When Challenger is groomed, but still frozen in the morning during late season, I stay off it. I had to improve technique working with instructors over 4-5 years, but now ungroomed soft snow around SLC mid-season is fun all the time.

No worries, @Scribble ! It was fun reading through comments of women we don't see here any more - a little walk down memory lane.

And I "liked" a half dozen or more before I noticed the date!
