TSV Womens Ski Week 2/23/25

Hello! I’ll be in TSV for the women’s ski week 2/23-2/28. Is anyone else going?
Hello! Since your account is new, you can't see the section in Divas Only where the Meet On The Hill sub-section is located. You need 15 posts. One way to quickly add posts is to create a Getting To Know You thread, which is also in Divas Only but appears sooner than the other sections.

There will be several Divas skiing Taos in late February. While some are doing the Women's Ski Week, there are others who are not but will be skiing all week as well. I'm sure someone will organize a meetup or two for aprés and/or dinner.

Thank you! Looking forward to meeting some of the Divas!

That’s not an Ikon blackout week, is it? I went to Taos twice when the Hotel St. Bernard was open, but haven’t been back since Jean Mayer died. I did ski week the second time and loved it. My son was my companion then (he was in a tee group) but won’t be going with me this year. I’d love to join the women’s group. Will you be staying in TSV or in Taos itself?

Hello again! This thread was started in February 2025, so the Women's Ski Week mentioned was for last season.

That said, there will be several Divas at Taos in late February 2026, including me. Here's a recent thread about travel to Taos. Although since you've been to Taos before, you probably know most of the info.

As for meetups, once you have 15 posts then you'll be able to see all the Divas Only sections. Then you'll be able to engage in the Meet On The Hill (MOTH) thread for Taos Women's Ski Week 2026.

You should be able to see the Getting To Know You section already. Creating a self-introduction thread that includes your location in the thread title can be a good way to "meet" potential ski/travel buddies.

I d be interested if anyone has a place in their condo/airbnb, I’d love to meet other Divas! Otherwise the hotels are too expensive for me during High Season.

Have you only looked at slopeside lodging for Taos Ski Valley (TSV)? Assuming you are thinking about Feb 2026 (this thread was for Feb 2025).

Note that there is a MOTH for Womens' Week Feb 2026.

There are motels in town that aren't that expensive. Between the bus that runs Wed-Sun and getting a ride from Divas who are staying in town, you could probably avoid renting a car if you don't want to drive for skiing. Note that without a rental car, you need to coordinate flights with the limited schedule for airport shuttles. Have to allow 4 hours for the airport shuttle so they only run 1-2 per day in each direction.

Oops, thanks MarzNC, what would we do without you?

You’re right, I’m not comfortable driving in snow, and I’m a little hesitant to rely on picking up rides to and from the slopes from other people, unless we were splitting a condo or something like that.

I’ll be going out to Taos for the first ski week, December 14-20, so I can stay at the Alpine Village Suites at a reasonable price.

Just FYI, there is seldom snow on the road in town, even when it snows on the mountain, so the road up the mountain rarely has snow; when it does, the plows are out immediately to get the road cleared and sanded.
There are several hotels in the town of Taos that are very reasonable, incl the Hampton Inn and Pueblo Lodge, that are quite reasonable, even during high season.
My ski buddy, Rita, and I will be at TSV on Dec 15-17th, so let's try to touch base then. Maybe we can ski together in the afternoon one of those days.

Thanks TNtoTaos, the Pueblo lodge looks great! But not only am I not comfortable driving in snow, I’m from NYC and a big wimp about driving generally—I don’t know if I’d want to drive back and forth 20 miles each way to the slopes. A bus might work, if it’s a friendly little bus like they have at Vail and not just a city bus..,,,

I’d love to connect December 15-17, it’s my first trip to Taos and it would be great to get together!

Ok looking at this thread I may just bite the bullet and do end of February as well!

I guess I’ll have to stay in Taos but I still don’t want to rent a car. I’d much rather pay a driver to take me to TSV and back.

MarzNC, TNtoTaos—any idea how I’d find such an individual? Is there a local listserve or something similar?

TIA !
