Trying to survive till November.....

Scrambling/mountaineering in the summer on weekends and trail running in our city parks during the week! Somehow I can still rack up 300m vert in an hour of running in the city. Good for uphill fitness come the winter!

Hoping for decent early snow so I can get out in the last weekend or two of October to hit some rocks with my skis :rotf:

Yessss! Sometimes Killington opens on Halloween weekend too, usually by the beginning of November they manage to open. They are nicknamed "Beast of the East" for a reason. Not sure WROD will be worth a drive for me on the weekend but we'll see.
I’m planning to do Killington in November for sure! Much easier drive/travel for me than Big Snow, lol

Lol.

Do try. We have 4 different mountains. All offer different things.
Yeah the 4 mountain part is great for sure! I have been there twice, I think. Once Diva West week and another trip with friends. We skied Snowmass mostly and a bit of Highlands, we also went to check out Buttermilk out of curiosity, it still had untouched powder on some slopes and it was days after a storm because powder hounds don't go there lol since it's mostly beginner/intermediate terrain. Good place for warming up on a first day at high altitude.

I want to come back to hike and ski the Highlands Bowl. I am getting to the point in my skiing that it may be feasible

I enjoy doing the park trains in Buttermilk. We have XGames there.
I do not hike up the Bowl, but good to do at least once. Highlands has the steepest ski designated runs in the north America. Highlands is my favorite mountain. I think I will be working on the mountain next season, in the guest service.
Try Aspen mountain next time. We call it Ajax. Many interesting runs there. There is also daily "mine tours" on snow shoes for free in the season there. We have many historical sites up there.

Please let me know if I could help for your next visit!

Yes, I have to come and ski Ajax, we didn't do it when I was there because we were told the line for the gondola was 30 min so my friends decided it wasn't worth it. Good to know about the tours, those sound cool!
