TR Whistler Blackcomb

Wow, what an awesome trip! It was spectacular and thanks to Skican it was reasonably priced.

We knew our trip was going to be a good one as soon as we arrived at the hotel. They upgraded us from a studio to a one bedroom. Brilliant! Thanks Marriott, we'll be staying there again.

The Residence Inn Marriott is a ski in ski out hotel on Blackcomb side with balconies, two outdoor hot tubs, ski valet/storage and free shuttle! Great staff too. Oh yeah, I can't forget about the hot buffett breakfast every morning with make your own waffles! Yum!

This is Merlin's on Blackcomb side, about halfway down is the Marriott, you just ski right in and in the morning you ski the rest of the way down to catch the lift up Blackcomb or Magic chair and ski to Whistler:

Windy and blowing snow at Roundhouse Lodge. You can see that it really is sunny out, but the snow is blowing everywhere. The wind died down in the afternoon. It wasn't an issue with us anyway we're use to it, but it did keep the Peak Chair closed that morning.

I'm not sure, but I think this is Enchanted Forest. What ever it was it was a lot of fun!:

Chic Pea Cafe from Upper Whiskey Jack. This is a great place to meet up, it is in the Family Zone surrounded by green, blues and blacks nearby. You can wait outside on the picnic tables for everyone and then have fantastic pizza for lunch!

It's been 4 years since I've been out there. You know snow doesn't change. Great pics and more to come!! Still as beautiful as ever. If anyone wants to see what's going on at WB check out the webcams on their site.

We stayed for 10 days and skied for 8 with a break in the middle. We really need it!!! Spent some time in the hot tub waving to people going up the chair lift.

Our lift tickets were for 8 of 9 days so you could pick any day off that you wanted within those 9 days, a brilliant idea.

I must say that WB exceded my expectations, it wasn't crowded, lift lines went through quickly, the snow was fantastic and was best at midmountain or in the bowls.

I didn't find it to be expensive either, as a matter of fact I found many items to be cheaper in Whistler than in Toronto. I was pissed to find my softshell jacket $100 cheaper in Whistler than what I paid for here in Toronto. :mad2: Oh well, live and learn.

A great 10 days. :jumphappy:

And SkiCan is a great way to travel. Everything done for you. Did you take them up on the tour, or use the WB tour, or you know your way around?

We bought the WB Guidebook and roamed around ourselves. That way we could wander off when we found something exciting or take a break on our own time.

We bought the book months before our trip so we were able to find out where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see way before we got there.

PS. We'll be using Skican for every ski trip from now on, they gave us so much and everything went smoothly. Kudos to them!
