TR Whistler Blackcomb with kids (camp + rental reviews)

Diva in Training
Hi Divas, I had an epic trip to Whistler Blackcomb last week as a family of 4. Happy to share a few helpful tips if skiing/snowboarding with kids of mixed levels:

I found Freestyle Whistler and my older son was able to attend a one-day 'try freestyle' full-day camp for only $65 CAD! Ridiculously cheap when considering how $$ lessons are. https://freestylewhistler.com/pro-d-day-camps/
- Great for kids who are intermediate+ skiers
- Opportunity to try the airbags in the Gemini training park on Blackcomb (easy for us to ski over and watch our son).
- The coaches were chill and took the group to terrain parks on both mountains

I forked out for the WB "Adventure Camp" at Whistler Village for our younger kiddo who is level 2. It was about $1900 CAD for 5 days, which felt like a small fortune, but it was well worth it in the end.
- Group size started at about 5-6 kids, then went down to 3 by the 5th day.
- Same coach each day who was great with kids and happy to share updates
- The Olympic learning center at Whistler had more variety of bumps, micro half pipe etc than most learning areas I've seen.
- I noticed the Creek Side learning center is lower down the mountain so conditions were not as good
- Kids always returned to pick up happy and mostly chattering about what they ate. :P

Snowboarding kids:
If your kiddo wants to try step-on bindings, we went to Showcase in the village. They simply change the bindings on your current board and provide rental boots. So your kid can stick to their original board. About $40 CAD for the day. Very easy process and they store your bindings/boots while out for the day.

Overall, ski trips are doubly tiring with kids, but we're so stoked we took them to experience WB.
