Finally on snow and was it cold. Tremblant opened November 21st with 7 runs on the top of the mountain only. By Sunday they had 9 runs. But you still had to download on the gondola. Saturday was a beautiful day, cold but sunny. So it brought out the crowds. First were the regular Tremblant people, then a race team from Bristol, then race teams from the southern laurentains where home hills weren't open and the first wave of "ski le gap" kids. There were 15-20 min waits on the LT chair. Tremblant was to open around the 16th, but they decided to hold off for a week and blow more snow. Well the coverage was side to side on all runs that were open. They also had most of the features open in the north side terrain park. 1/2 pipe will be much later in the season. Sunday morning it was snowing and really foggy up top. They manage to open Tashereau to the TGV around 10am. But Sunday skiing is much better as the crowds seems to less. The Bristol kids had left and some of the regulars don't ski Sunday. Plus you just couldn't see till 1/2 way down the upper runs, so the beginner and less experienced type weren't on the mountain. As for pictures, I didn't want to stop on Saturday to take any. Sunday you'd have only seen fog!!
