Thread subscriptions

I'm sure this has been asked before and I'm also sure it's pretty easy to fix, but I can't figure it out! How do I set my options to not subscribe me to threads, or, more importantly, set it to not send me emails every time someone replies to subscribed threads?

At the top right you'll see "profile" next to home. Click on that, and along the left of the screen it'll say "control panel" and have a list of settings etc below. Click "edit options", find "default subscription mode", and select "no email notification".
