My Auras arrived in primo condition today.....about 3 days sooner than I expected since they were sent USPS rather than UPS! I'm OH SO excited !!

The toe pieces are already mounted, but they need to be redrilled for the heels due to my little bitty boots. That should be done tomorrow. Looks like I'll actually be able to give them a spin before our season ends on Sunday. YAY!!!!

Look for my review on the 177cm by Monday.

Have fun on them! I skied them in New England packed powder and hard pack today and they were great, though they don't bite the ice like my Attiva AC2s. I think they are the perfect 1-ski quiver for skiing in the Rockies or anywhere with varied conditions.

ENJOY. I have been trying to snare some demo Auras to try out in some spring conditions out here in Utah---and it's not looking good. None available----best I can do are some Volkl Tierras (sounds kind of like Miss America or something). Not sure I want to invest the time into these. Auras must be hot. any opinions?

I love the Sugar Mamas, but feel I need something a bit more beefy or wide for the mushiness that is coming with the hot spring skiing for the duration of the season.

any advice for demos for western spring conditions (icy frozen in the a.m. and mashed potatoes in the afternoon)?

P.S. my face is getting pretty beat up with my 3-4/d/week schedule----sunblock only goes so far. I've been wearing the baseball cap under the helmet---taking what shade I can get. Helping the aging process on my face along---I'll compensate later. Maybe get a parasol and walk around under it all summer.

I had last year's Attiva AC3s (this year's Tierras) and sold them because I found them to be heavy and stiff. I like a ski I can bend and the Auras fit the bill. The Tierras and the Auras are very different skis, at least that was my experience.

They do, but they are last season's graphics. This season was white with pink, and next season's are black with bright graffiti looking graphics. So if you demo and like, you'll need to purchase the 06/07 to get those graphics.

(I did the exact same thing as volklgirl ... bought 177s on ebay, last year's model brand new.)

Gotta admit I like the 07 graphics sooooo much better than the 08. They're just hot and don't look "girlie" at all.
