Re: the SB Slopestyle - I'm acutally surprised (or maybe I'm just not seeing it?) but there doesn't seem to be much course "grooming" in between runs? The snow seems soooo hard and there are a lot of ruts.... just saying.

I felt terrible when Bassino skied out and then to see Mikaela do it...and where's Petra? Last? She wasn't in the top 10 at the break.

I think Petra was 10th. Hector has been on fire lately. She’s having a sterling season.

She wasn't on the list of top 10 they showed when I posted that. They did show further down later, and I think she's...13? 14? 16?

And they had no time to preview the slope, right? Just show up and start racing? Yikes.

Awful fall for Nina O'Brien right at the end of her second run :( Robinson and Vlhova both had disappointing run 2 to match their disappointing run 1, a real shame. Great skiing from Sara Hector to take the win!

I stayed up to watch the GS last night and the first thing I did when I got up was see if there was news about Nina. That was just horrible. I couldn't even tell if she was conscious when she was being tended to but apparently she was.

I remember reading about the courses and about how difficult they are after it was built. That seems unusual for the Olympics. No one wants to see a parade of athletes going out or down. How in the world do the lower ranked skiers that aren't typically in the World Cup deal with it? I thought it was interesting the women's GS had a higher attrition rate than the men's downhill.

Olympic gold medalist, model, and going to Stanford in the fall. Seriously, was she. mother Theresa in her last life?

I'm nervous for women's slalom tonight. The conditions are just so odd. Will Mikaela and Petra rise above them?

I was so sorry to see Odermatt go out in the Super G last night. Again there were some very surprising DNFs.
