The adventure I like to call "Buying Boots Online"...

Ok, so as most of you know, I've been looking for boots for a while! I decided to buy some online (after trying on MANY in stores.. and did in fact try these on in a store).

So, here goes.

I buy the boots and have them ship to Maine b/c its cheaper and faster. I wanted them for the weekend. I drive an hour to get them, bring them home...they are the wrong color. I try them on...ok, they're not as tight as they were in the store. Hmm... oh well, I'll wear them anyway Saturday. My feet were all over the place. I look at the boots closer when I get home...they are not the right model! Close, but unisex. I call for three straight days until I get the manager finally. They were super nice about everything.. very apologetic, however, i was upset that I once again have not found boots. So the mangaer offers to up the model of the boot to the Intensive 14 (instead of 10) which they apparently all the sudden have in red (when they didn't before). To make a very long story short, I got the higher end boots in the right color for the same price ($149.00) and shipped to me overnight (as well as a shipping label to send the other ones back). I receive my boots Friday, I heat molded them in my oven ( I know....risky... but it worked luckily) and wore them out on Saturday. I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!!!
I finally feel like my leg is attached to my ski effortlessly. I didn't know what it was supposed to feel like until now, wow, what a difference! They are perfect in every way; good stiffness, they happen to match my skiis/poles, and they just feel plain great!!! I am so thrilled about my purchase, even though I had to be a little bit of an agressive shopper to get them!

Oh yeah, they're the Rossi Intensive 14

p.s. You're not alone in having done this - I've done it twice, with good success, also with knowledge of the fit of the model being purchased. Good savings abound, especially with NOS, which is about the best I'm able to afford.
