Super Bowl or Skiing?

So who here will have their skiing cut short or eliminated because of Super Bowl Sunday?

I'm not a football fan and I don't ski weekends, anyway. But for those of you who are and who usually ski Sundays, will the game affect your plans?

BTW, I hear some ski areas are having special deals to keep people at the slopes that day!

My favorite team got bumped off in the play-offs, so I no longer have any real interest. Super Bowl Sunday traditionally is one of the quieter weekend days, so I'm probably heading north to Sugarloaf.

I would be going skiing, but my brother and law up and got himself a job in Central Virgina. We are all helping him move into his new place down there. No skiing for me this weekend. We're super proud but wondering why this had to happen a few weeks before a trip (he was our resident kitty sitter) and right smack dab in the middle of ski season

Doing both!

We always ski Super Bowl Sunday- light crowds. But we live close enough to get home in time for kickoff. GO GIANTS!

I will probably go skiing.

Lovebug, if you finish on Saturday, maybe you can stop and ski on the way home. I don't know where in central VA you will be - but you can ski at Massanutten (near Blacksburg) - or Wintergreen (near Charlottesville.) There are also lots of places in PA - probably on your way back. If you are near Whitetail (Mercersburg, PA) then you can look for me!

Ditto that! We love Superbowl Sunday because it keeps the crowds off the mountain!!!

Super Bowl?? What's that?? The Grey Cup was played in November. Football should be over before the snow flies!! I'll be skiing, don't like your American football!! 4 downs to make 10 yards, us Canuks try to do it 3 downs and we've got a bigger field!!
DH has a T-shirt from the CFL - "our balls are bigger than yours!"

Skiing! It's one of the few days that it's better to get up later and stay later since there are quite a few who will ski early then drive back.

Working!

Otherwise, I would ski in the am and watch the game in the afternoon!

Skiing, of course!:race: What a silly question. :ski3:

Football (actually any televised team sport) BLOWS!
But it keeps everybody else away from the hill, so more power to 'em.

Both, of course. Gotta ski in the morning to burn some calories before drinking all that beer. :D

Both for me this year. Skiing in the morning/early afternoon then heading over to Super Bowl party.

Skiing! No interest in the Super Bowl teams this year.

Although since the mountain closes at 4pm anyway, it's easy enough to do both.

Skiing and superbowl!

I'll be skiing and watching the Super Bowl on Sunday. My boyfriend's company is hosting a corporate event where we'll all ski until the hill closes, then head back to a chalet to watch the game and spend the night. Given I have little interest in football, this is like the best of both worlds for me!

Okay, my company does some pretty cool things but this would rock! I'm trying to convince the boss to do a company ski day this season. We'll see.

Both

"taping" football games with the DVR thing makes watching ANY football game much less painful! DH races through replays, time outs, an usually commercials, but Superbowl Sunday is all about the commercials!

(so he races through most of the regular play too!)

Since I'm flying up to Utah to ski this weekend, skiing definately. However, since the game starts later in the day, I'll catch the 2nd half.
