As a rule - as an iron-clad rule - the store name means nothing when it comes to fit. It's all about the *individual* person who is fitting your boot. I would happily follow a good boot fitter to a crappy store.

That's good to know! I'm sure it was just some sales guy. He said to come back if I had any fit issues, I didn't know if that was a lifetime thing or just for last season. @tinymoose, it would be great if you were able to get a name!

YUP - mine is in Whistler, and I'm making an appointment for when I'm out there.

As noted, everyone has a stronger side.

I had two instructors (Massanutten, Alta) give me new ideas for how to work on improving my weak side turn last season. Turns out that thinking about hip movement can help. Really does help to have a lesson with very experienced instructors (20+ years) as much as practical. During early or late season, a mid-week group lesson can end up a solo lesson or with just one other skier of similar ability.
