Stowe and Smuggler's Notch

Hi Divas, I'm writing from beautiful Smuggler's Notch Vermont where I am vacationing with my husband and our 5 kids, ages 10, 11, 13, 13, and 20. It's a beautiful Vermont night and we've been walking around after taking a swim, and it looks like a great week for hiking, swimming, and hanging out. I'm going to try to hook up with a master bootfitter in Stowe to get some new ski boots for me and one of my daughters, and we're all going to Burlington on Thursday and will check out the Burton flagship store (my husband, daughter, and son are snowboarders). Walking around looking at the ski trails here and as we drove by them in Stowe of course makes me think of skiing, and that makes me happy. April and May were torture, but now I'm in the full swing of summer, I'm having an easier time with "off-season." Tuesday is my 3rd wedding anniversary and we're heading to a romantic restaurant (without the kids) that a few Bears from Epic recommended. Working full-time and having kids, I actually spend very little time outdoors except during ski season so I plan to make the most of it this week!:o

Sounds like a great trip! Have a wonderful time and a happy, happy anniversary.

Keep us posted on what happens at the bootfitter.

And don't forget to stop at Ben & Jerry's in Waterbury -- just for the kids, of course.

Thanks Wendy. I'll let you know what happens if I can meet up with the bootfitter. I'm going to call him in the morning. And yup, already went to Ben & Jerry's for the kids today on our way up from MA. I treated myself to a sample of Chunky Monkey and watched my family enjoy those calories!
