Just here to report that I had a blast on these skis this weekend. It was opening weekend, so a bit strange to try and shake my legs back into awareness on new skis and, effectively, new boots (first time w/Zipfits). Once again, Stockli did not disappoint. The conditions were perfect for the AS - manmade frontside hardpack. They were responsive, easy to initiate, and easy to achieve a variety of turn shapes. I love short and medium radius turns and these were a snap w/the AS. I always start my season with drills and they were very accommodating. I was most impressed with how smoooooooth the skis were. There were some firmer spots and a few chicken heads, but the AS took all in stride. Exceptional edge hold on the icy spots and stable in the chicken head crumble. They are not the most forgiving skis I've ever skied, but they also are not so demanding that lapses in form will be punishing. Can't wait to get them out again next weekend!
