Still lots of snow in northern Vermont -- and sun :)

My husband and I had a great spring skiing day on Sunday at Bolton Valley in northern Vermont. There's still a lot of snow in the mountains. Heck, there's 98 inches of snow on top of Mt. Mansfield! And the weather is gorgeous through tomorrow. Check out my recap and more photos at my ski blog at skimaven.com.

While Bolton closed on Sunday, these Vermont resorts are still supposed to be open. I've listed them with their reported closing dates:

Bromley - closed mid-week after April 6th, reopen on 4/11 for final weekend
Jay Peak - April 27
Killington - April 20
Mad River Glen - April 13
Magic Mountain - open weekends only until snow runs out
Mount Snow - will stay open as long as people keep skiing
Okemo - April 20
Smugglers' Notch - April 13
Stratton - April 13
Stowe - April 20
Sugarbush - Mt. Ellen closed for season, Lincoln Peak open through April, conditions permitting

Maine's doing well also

Not sure how the approaching front will affect things Thurs-Sun (rain), but Monday and Tuesday were to-die-for, as it obviously was in VT (great pics!).
Snowfields at Sugarloaf are tough skiing but still open.
It's the warm, bluebird days that are so RARE!
(Sugarloaf hopes to stay open until May 4)

I've had some incredible bluebird ski days lately here in southern VT. The skiing's been great, the temperatures warm, and the crowd non-existent. When the daffodils are up south of here, people just seem to forget about skiing. Which is fine with me. :becky:

Rain and warmer temps are forecast, though, so I'm afraid the end is near. :(

I even saw my first robin today!
