Squaw
Ski Diva Extraordinaire
Just had a great powder day up on Granite Chief, the highest of the remaining Squaw lifts...gotten 18+ inches in the last 24 hours. A little heavy but not bad, particularly for the California Sierra.
KT22, the mothership of Squaw, is closed. Also Headwall. But ski patrol is allowing hiking into Headwall terrain - what is called the "reverse traverse." Heavy toward the bottom, but the traverse path and hike were BUSY today! Well, it's all relative. Not so many people on the mountain.
Rumors abound as to how long Squaw will keep the upper lifts going. Given this snow, another week at least, maybe into May.
