It is the time of year that my husband and I start to consider the annual ski trip location options. As mentioned in another thread, Taos would be in the running. Squaw Valley has come up as a possibility.
I grew up in Northern California and am somewhat familiar with the area, but didn't not start skiing until many years later, and in a different State.
Going to this region for a trip would only be 11 hour drive, so totally doable, and kind of fun to visit memories.
My husband is concerned about crowds. I cannot speak to that issue since I have not been there as a skier.
I know several Divas are quite knowledgeable about the resorts up there. What can you share regarding lift lines, travel between the ski areas , etc?
