Okay, beyond disgusted with the current northern New England thaw, need to get my brain off skiing until this is over, and I feel the "pull" to the outlet shopping in Freeport, ME --- which, dangerously, has North Face, Patagonia outlets...not to mention Coach and Dooney & Bourke...spring-like day out there, nice shopping weather.

Someone stop me, please!!

North face and Patagonia outlets, hmmm...

Not in the mood for some January spring conditions?

I don't know how much help I would be... I'm looking at 60 degree temps today and having the same pull to go outlet shopping at Lee, MA (just to check out the Coach outlet, no less). :loco:

Actually just got a call from DH who mentioned the same. Doggone it, I'm just NOT READY for spring conditions!! Okay, it's too late for me to haul down to Freeport now, about a 1.5 hour drive, and I have to be at weight lifting class at 4:30, so that's out - my wallet and DH will both thank me for that :becky: However, I may go skiing on Thurs, still spring conditions, things start changing over here on Fri.

Glad to read, though, that I'm not the only Diva who enjoys the Coach outlet store!!

The exit right before the one I take for the hill on I94 has outlets (Prime Outlets), and one like 15 minutes before the hill has a huge outlet mall (Gurnee Mills). I was disappointed to see that the Sports Authority outlet (in Gurnee Mills) doesn't have that much for deals, but the Columbia outlet at Prime Outlets has tons of steals, and there's an Under Armour outlet there which I appreciate. The Mikasa outlet makes for good housewarming presents and the like.

Ah, yes, I know them well....
The fun ones in my region are in North Conway, NH - mainly because of the scenery, smack in the White Mountains, and the fact that NH graciously does not have a state sales tax  - some skiing outlet stuff, too, but mostly MOR stores. The trendier stuff is definitely in Freeport, ME (also Kittery, but that's 100+ mi from me). Ever get to the one out near Harvard, IL? I used to like that one.
Well, on that note, I am so outta here - I have 77 pages of editing to do, and I just cannot get started on this project......feels like spring out there, I just swept the porch. Insane weather.

If you can get your hands on an R-1 zip-tee or a down sweater at the patagonia outlet...Do it!! At least slip a down sweater on, OMG. You will buy it.

Can I come too!! I'm too far away at the moment. There is an outlet mall in St. Saveur and one at Bromont. So far, I've found that the prices aren't all that great at these two. I can buy Pyrex bowls on sale for the outlet price. That's not a bargain to me. The best outlet malls are North of Toronto for us!!

Oh crum, now I am so totally distracted, I can't even get any work done  . If DH doesn't drag me out to do way premature spring skiing on Thurs (tomorrow looks dicey, high winds, possible rain  ), I am so out of here to shop! Patagonia outlet on my list, among many others. Great places to buy sale winter-trekking shoes/mocs/boots too....darn....I won't earn any $ to spend doing this, so I'm officially logging out for the day, divas! THINK SNOW, or at least COLD for poor schizoid weather New England.

MSL - I feel your pain, the thaw is happening here too. Dagmar was closed Tues & Wed, reopened today. Lakeridge remains closed and Blue Mountain went from 34/34 runs open Monday to 6/34 runs Tues, 4/34 runs yesterday!!!!

I almost feel good about being sick yesterday (soooooo sick)

Well, I didn't make it to the oulet shopping mecca after all - closed my blinds and shades to ignore the outdoors and actually got some work done. Weather is now starting to turn around, 10 day outlook shows much colder weather in most of New England, esp north. Time for the resorts to start assessing/repairing the damage...Was this early season but a mirage?????

MSL,

Send your cold Maine weather north !!! We're dying up here. If this keeps up I'll have to mow the lawn on the weekend (sigh).
