Solitude's great features?

Am trying to convince my cousin that we should spend a day at Solitude. I remember especially loving it there - but can't remember exactly why. So, can anyone give me some of its great features to tell him about (on its own, and relative to other areas - we'll be at Alta other days).:snow:

The best feature.....no people.

Ditto.... Also, Solitude has almost as much expert "big" terrain as Alta, without the bootpacking or heinous side-stepping uphill traverses. Although you have to be careful! (See my post about "cliffing out" in Solitude just yesterday!)

If you're more intermediate, Soli has some great bowls and and trees that are more easily accessible!

they were the only place over thanksgiving that had any snow at all. everyplace else in utah over thanksgiving, we skied only on manmade. at the mouth of the canyon, not a snowflake in sight. on the slope at solitude, soft beautiful stuff coming down.

There is a wide variety of terrain for a wide range of abilities. The runs are pretty wide making it easier to avoid other skiiers. It definitely is a lot less crowded than some of the other areas (always has been).

When I was at Snowbird, I felt like I spent most of my time on narrow trails. My arms hurt so bad by the end of the day from pushing with my poles just to ski a run. Yuck!

PARKING was way better at Solitude than Snowbird. Hiking uphill to my car with gear is not my idea of a good end of the day.
