Saw the snow making machines hard at work on the web cams today for Mammoth Mountain. Estimated opening day Nov 8, champagne toast Nov 10. Geez, how can they do that ? It was in the mid 60's there last week, & at my house today it was 81. I'm dying to ski in my new boots, but trying to resist the thought of a road trip in a week or two & just wait for local snow. :decision:
