I did it! Finally got Terry to take a trip west to ski, which was no small feat since he rarely takes a trip of any kind.
Day one we skied Copper with some Divas and Bears:
This was a bit of a struggle for Terry due to the altitude, not to mention the crowd of people that seemed to form around us.
The divas in attendance Robyn, Pinto, SnowHot!
Pinto, I have to say, you are a beautiful skier. You look like a combination of elegance and Tigress when you attack the mountain. Some day I hope to keep up with you.
Robyn, You are so kind, and wonderful. I was blessed to have you to show us around. You are truly a beautiful person.
I want to meet up with you both when I ski Colorado again.
Group shot of a partial group at Copper. The count at one point was 23, so we had a few missing from this pic.
And to answer the question.......yes, I'm a tad double jointed ;)
Spaulding bowl was a blast, but I only wish I'd done it twice, since I had a garage sale the first time.
The tree section to the bottom and right of Spaulding was sooooooooo much fun!!
Day Two Keystone:
Terry got his legs under him a bit more, and was adjusting to the altitude better, not to mention his new boots.
Didn't take many pics the first and second day so I'm missing some of the fun of a TR.
Mrs Don Denver Met up with us Betsy! She is another woman who can ski the whole mountain. Betsy, Welcome to SkiDiva! You Rock!!!
Me at the top of some chair I can't remember at Keystone!
Day Three!
Terry was in full motion and stopped whining about his altitude issues,...........finally!!!
The Michiganders skied the whole Mountain at Abasin, and Loved every minute of it.
Took a few pics........Wow it was fun!
Laurie before going into the Montezuma Bowl
Terry, Laurie and John as we come back to the Lenauwee lift from the Montezuma Bowl, Nice Chute, Whoo hooo!
This is the bottom part of the same chute with a few small bumps. BTW, I will NEVER follow Terry again. I almost ran over him!!!
Totally lost my opportunity to rip through the bumps.
ARGH!
Terry missjudged his stopping ability at the bottom, but John Didn't care that he ran over his skis, since John was on Terry's skis.
Day Four - Breck!!
Missed Betsy in a huge way!
we had a group to ski with and some who knew more of the mountain than I can imagine. chuckC took me, Cgeib, Don, and John to some nice stashes and bowls that I absolutely loved.
Only one was far beyond my abilities, though all were a tad beyond my abilities, but I love being pushed "beyond"
I have one thing to say. Bring it on!!!!
Cold temps and wind chill prohibited me from wanting to take my camera out on the mountain, but we got a few shots in side.
A special thanks to ChuckC, DonDenver Cgeib, and Tsavo for kicking my butt all over Breck!
Hope Betsy, Pinto and Robyn chime in!
I adore you all!!
