Snowbound November 2026

Snowbound 2026 has already started communications. Guess they don't waste any time, do they!

The link shows 2025 on this thread, but takes you to the 2026 page.

Time for a bump.

Snowbound has posted their schedule online https://snowboundexpo.com/ and tickets go on sale in a week, on Sept 9.

A few years ago there was a shake up when ownership changed and it went from being the Boston Ski Expo to Snowbound. There are more changes afoot this year. As previously mentioned, it has now moved from the Boston Seaport to Mohegan Sun in CT. Another change is that it will now be just 2 days instead of 3. And this year they won't have any free ticket opportunities. They are keeping the prices low though. With a code it will be $8. I decided to sign up as an "ambassador" again this year, so you can still use the code KIKI for the discounted tickets at any time before the show.

This year they also have a new kind of VIP pass for $55 called the "Powder Pass." The perks that come with that are early entry to the expo hall, a free drink at the Ice Bar, an exclusive meet and greet with your choice of one of the headline speakers (Kimmy Fasani, Jessie Diggins, Tom Wallisch, or Travis Rice), reserved front row seating at the Inspiration Stage for any talks, and a T-shirt and swag bag. So if you really want to meet one of the speakers or make sure you have a good seat for talks, that might be worth considering.

Sadly, it would be a little inconvenient for @DebbieSue to host the usual pizza party, so I don't think that will happen this year :(
But I'm sure we will still find a way to gather and be social outside the noise of the venue. If anyone is familiar with the Mohegan Sun area, maybe you can share ideas for that?

For Boston area Divas that are thinking of attending one of the days but don't really want to drive, I saw that BSSC (Boston Ski and Sports Club) will be chartering a bus, but they don't have further details out yet. That would, of course, tie you to a set schedule.

I have the dates penciled in on my calendar, and I know @marzNC is planning on going too. Anyone else?
The dates are Nov 14 and 15.

I'm a definite maybe!

There are lots of restaurants right inside of Mohegan if we get a headcount ahead of time and want to make a reservation somewhere to meet up afterward on one of the days... probably the Saturday would be most desirable?

Not sure if I will be able to go at this moment, but I agree with @MissySki . If there are dining options at Mohegan, just keep it simple and meet up at a restaurant there.
Skiing, food, and a casino. Keep it jazzy. Cocktail dresses and Mukluks!

'tis true. Too far from my house. I won't be travelling to Mohegan Sun that weekend, too much other stuff going on.
But I look forward to updates and will be with the Divas in spirit. The roll calls are big and growing for both DivaEast and DivaWest! Its gonna be a great Diva year.

I plan to get up to CT by Friday one way or another. May need to leave on Sunday afternoon. Figure 1.5 days will be enough for a 2-day show. I have a feeling that starting Friday afternoon in Boston didn't pull in as many people as expected. I know Sunday afternoon was pretty empty last time.

Maybe a few NYC/NJ Divas will consider getting up to CT to see what Snowbound is all about. Closer for eastern PA folks too.

For people thinking of driving, Mohegan Sun is just under an hour from Providence and under 2 hours from Boston. New York City is just over 2 hours away, and Philadelphia is a 5 hour drive. As a casino/theater/hotel, there is plenty of parking that is mostly free parking right around the buildings.

It's possible to take the train from NYC to New London or New Haven and get an Uber from there.

For people who are considering staying overnight near Mohegan Sun instead of doing a day trip, New London and Mystic to the south closer to the CT coastline is where there are hotels/motels with reasonable rates. That's about a 30-min drive to the casino complex. New Haven and Hartford are about an hour away.

The dates are Nov 14 and 15.
I won't make it this year. My mother has decided that's a good weekend for Thanksgiving, and she's in Michigan. I like the idea of a non-Thanksgiving family gathering - it'll be so much easier traveling. With relatives in their 80s it's always good to make it to family gatherings.

Tickets for Snowbound Expo 2026 at Mohegan Sun in CT the weekend of Nov. 14-15 are on sale.

@diymom has a code that provides a good discount. No more free tickets.

SeniorSkiing is also promoting Snowbound.

I'm so bummed this moved to CT!! Mohegan Sun is a two hour drive for me (vs I used to work in Boston/I live in the suburbs) and we've been going for over a decade with my in-laws after work on Fridays. It's not realistic for us to drive two hours for it now and and we always bought deals while there :( :(

Did you notice the thread about Snowvana? First time in the Boston area. Started in Oregon. It's organized by Doug Fish, who created the Indy Pass.

I’m going to go to Snowbound since it’s in CT this year. I’m not sure if I’ll stay overnight yet, but leaning towards it. I’d love to meet up with any other Divas attending!

The hours for Snowbound at Mohegan Sun are quite different from when this ski show was in Boston. Only Sat & Sun, Nov. 14-15. After 8pm on Saturday, there is going to be some sort of "after party" with a DJ and such for a few hours.

Saturday, Nov. 14, 10:00AM – 8:00PM
Sunday Nov. 15, 10:00AM – 4:00PM

The Colorado Ski Shop (based in MA, not CO) is returning as the retailer for Snowbound. There will be chances to win a free pair of skis. Apparently last year there were 8 pairs of skis given away.

The brands that are listed under Colorado Ski Shop include Elan, Faction, Fischer, Head, K2, Line, Nordica, and Volkl.

Since I'm going to drive to CT from NC for Snowbound, I've decided to stop at Big SNOW as I make my way south on Sunday. See the MOTH thread for details.

My biggest interest at Snowbound is the section called the Resorts and Tourism Village. In addition to resorts in New England, there will be booths for Canada and Europe.
