Snowbird, 3/31-4/1

So last week, totally last minute (we bought the tickets on Tuesday, I think, leaving that Sunday), I ended up in Snowbird for 2 days. It ended up being amazing - it snowed 8-10" over the weekend before we arrived, the weather was great, and no one was there so the snow stayed really nice. We were still finding fresh powder Tuesday afternoon.

Anyways, here are the pictures:

If you only look at one picture, make sure it's this one:

Hands-down the best picture of me ever taken. Well, maybe this one gives it a run for its money:

Ohh, I can't wait to look at the flickr pics when I get home (blocked at work), but the pic in the middle is fabulous! The Cirque has got to be one of the most scenic runs in the Wasatch (not to mention one of the most fun!) Was that Upper or Lower Cirque? Good call on coming out - looks like we're getting another foot or so today and tomorrow, so maybe....

Thanks for sharing. Great pix. I'm glad you could make it out for the best time of the year, ski wise. Amazing conditions and disappearing crowds. Doesn't get much better than that.

Awesome. You look like an expert! And I love the other pic too.

One of the nice things about living in the NY metro area is the easy access to flights to remote places with pretty good pricing. Glad you got the trip in!

That picture of you is AWESOME! And I love the one taken uphill at your partner in crime as well. Gives a sense of the pitch, which is fun.

Looks like a blast. I am JEALOUS!

I finally got to look at the rest of your pics. Very nice! Isn't the exposure up there great? I love dropping in to Great Scott. I can't believe how different it looks compared to when I skied it earlier this year (October). The top of Great Scott wasn't even filled in enough to drop in from the ridge.

Looking up...

It's funny...I was looking through my October thread and I saw you had asked whether early Oct snow meant for a good season in Utah. Well, I guess it did!
