Skier revels in ‘biggest WA snowfall in years’ at Bluff Knoll near Albany

I was pretty confused because I think of Albany in NY State, which is nowhere near "WA" as in Washington State. But WA is also used as the acronym for Western Australia, a state that covers a third of that continent. Doesn't usually snow there. There were people who made the climb early in the morning see the sunrise to the top of the highest peak where it was white everywhere.

Perth weather: Snow falls at Bluff Knoll as cold front knocks out power to WA homes

Definitely unusual for there to be snow in WA, it made the news over here too. Unfortunately though, there aren't any mountains there to ski (not that it's anywhere close to me) The good news is that it hits the eastern side of Australia from today we're expecting 9" tonight and 35" over the next week :yahoo:
